I am replacing my patio since parts of the slab are sinking. I have been thinking about possibly extending the house over the patio in the future for a game room and wanted to know what is the proper thickness required for the slab if an extension is done.A few things to note about my existing patio slab. The contractors who have looked at it informed me that there is already a Footing in place
i have a patio area which is 3meters x 3.65 meters. but i have a patio display which is 1.68meter sq. how much area do i have left to cover? i see that diy stores do paving slabs i meter sq coverage. i have seen some .4m sq which covers 1 sqm at £10.50.PLEASE HELP.

I wanted to use a basic indoor kitchen stove outside and wondered if there was a problem with that? It would be in a covered area so it won't get wet and I live in Houston so there won't be snow. I like the "traditional" stove as opposed to a grill but like to keep the heat out of the house. I can't afford the big built in outdoor kitchens they sell and I can get a stove/oven for around $200. I have a small patio in my back garden that has become over run with weeds. I have pulled them out from the roots,ive sprayed Weedol, but since i went on holiday they have come back with avengence! I was thinking of hiring some sort of machine to spray them with chemicals, but long term how can i solve this problem? In fact, any sort of suggestion would be most welcome.
